Supplies

  • FloraCraft® CraftFōM®:
    • 2.3" x 4.8" Half Ball - White
    • 1.25" x 9" Disc - White
  • Decorative Mesh:
    • 21" x 4 1/2 yds - Purple
    • 6" x 10 yds - Orange

Tools

  • Floral Shears
  • Floral Pins
  • Pencil
  • Ruler
  • Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
  • Large Paper Clip

Instructions

  1. Use Floral Shears to cut sixteen 10″ lengths of Purple Decorative Mesh.
  2. With one length, make a petal by folding both long (raw) edges to the middle of the length. Then fold in half with short ends meeting. To taper open end of petal, fold over both sides and secure with floral pin (angled in) to top edge of Disc (about 2″ from edge for adequate support.) Repeat the process to make 16 petals going all around the Disc edge.
  3. For the flower center, cut 62 Orange Mesh pieces, 6″ long (which will be squares). Use a point of the pencil to make one 3/4″ deep hole in the rounded side of Half Ball. Apply a dot of hot glue into the hole. Make Mesh “tuft” by setting the eraser end of a pencil in the middle of one Mesh square. Gather edges of Mesh up around pencil and press eraser end with Mesh, down into hole, pressing enough for Mesh to connect with glue, but not so much that eraser sticks. Remove pencil, leaving Mesh tuft in place. Continue making holes 1/2″ apart and inserting Mesh squares all over the rounded part of Ball Half.
  4. Hot glue flat side of Mesh-covered Half Ball to the center of Disc with Mesh petals. (Note: Petal ends will be sandwiched in between.) To hang the Mesh flower, insert a large paper clip into the upper back of the Disc, allowing the end of the clip to extend out for the hanger loop. Secure with hot glue.
