Instructions
- Completely cover the wreath with black tape. Secure one end of the tape to the back of the wreath and begin wrapping, slightly overlapping each wrap. Be sure to gather the tape together as you go to create folds and wrinkles in the tape.
- Place a small amount of paint on the plate. Load the brush and then wipe off excess paint so that the brush looks almost dry. Brush across the folds of the tape, allowing some of the black tape to show through.
- Cut three lengths of black ribbon. The length depends on the height you want the wreath to hang. We used about 30” pieces of ribbon. Glue one end of each piece of ribbon around the wreath and secure with glue. Be sure the ribbons are evenly spaced around the wreath. Tie the ribbons together at the top.
- Pin the boa around the outside edge of the wreath, pinning as you go to hold it in place. Cut off the excess boa and save for future projects.
- Use the wire cutters to cut the roses from the bush, leaving about a 1” stem. Push two roses into the wreath by each of the ribbon hangers. Before inserting the flowers, you may need to pilot holes in the tape.
- Cut three sections of the garland and pin a section coming out from the roses up each of the ribbons. Add low-temp glue to secure. Cut three more sections of the garland and pin them hanging down from the roses.
- Secure the battery pack from one of the LED light strands to the top of the wreath hiding it in the boa. Pin this strand around the outside edge of the wreath. Secure the battery packs from the remaining light strands to the top of the wreath, evenly spaced. Coil the lights loosely around your hand and pull the end to create a spiral of lights hanging from the wreath.
